Shinjuku Chuo Park and its Shinjuku Niagara Falls (Shinjuku Shiraito Falls) / Shinjuku (新宿区Shinjuku-ku) is a special ward in Tokyo, Japan. Like the other special wards of Tokyo, Shinjuku has a status equivalent to that of a city. It is a major commercial and administrative centre, housing the northern half of the busiest railway station in the world (Shinjuku Station) and the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building, the administration centre for the government of Tokyo. Since the end of World War II, Shinjuku has been a major secondary center of Tokyo, rivaling to the original city center in Marunouchi and Ginza.
